Canadian National Teams

Robbie began his international career in 1992 playing for the Under-16 Canadian National team. After qualifying 3rd place in the Concacaf tournament in Cuba, the world stage was waiting. In 1993 the Under-17 World Cup was held in Japan and Canada finished second to last place with Robbie gaining some valuable experience playing against some of the top players in the world. Robbie became a starter and quickly moved up to the Under-20 National team. Winning the Concacaf gold medal in Mexico was a major accomplishment. The next stop was the U-20 World Cup in Malaysia where Canada finished a record best at the time 13th in the world, eventually losing to powerhouse Spain in the second round. After having success at the youth levels Robbie became a steady fixture and became an important member of the Olympic team which finished first in the qualifying rounds in Trinidad and Tababgo, eventually failing to qualify for the Olympics held in Australia. After a very successful youth career with the national team, call ups to the full squad was next in line and participated in World Cup qualifying in 2002 and call-ups to the Gold medal winning team for the Gold Cup. His international career highlights are many, starting in both youth world cups. Starting for the Olympic team and Pan American games as well as 11 total call up for the full world cup squad.
